Hostelling International's Beauty Creek hostel is a wilderness property that has no running water or electricity and has outdoor toilets. Situated 87 km (54 mi) south of Jasper and 17 km (11 mi) north of the Columbia Icefield, this hostel is year-round. From May through October check-in is from 5pm to 10pm and from October through May guests must check-in at the HI Jasper International Hostel. The Beauty Creek hostel sleeps 22 in two sleeping cabins.


This Hostelling International property is ideally situated near the majestic Angel Glacier on Jasper's highest peak, Mount Edith Cavell. Accommodation for 32 in two sleeping cabins is offered. This hostel makes the perfect home base when hiking the back-country. This is a wilderness hostel with limited creature comforts - no running water, no showers, and no flush toilets. They do have purified water for cooking, a refrigerator, propane stoves and lights. It is important to note that in the winter (Oct to May) the road up to the hostel is closed and guests will be required to hike, ski, or snowshoe up to the hostel from the highway which is approximately 11 km (7 mi).

Located next to the spectacular depths of the Athabasca Falls, this hostel is located 32 km (20 mi) south of Jasper. This is the largest wilderness hostel in the park and offers limited creature comforts - no running water, no showers and no flush toilets. They do have purified water for cooking, a refrigerator, stoves and solar-powered lights. Accommodation for 40 in three sleeping cabins is offered.

Located just 11 km (7 mi) from the Jasper townsite, the Hostelling International Maligne Canyon is situated alongside the Maligne River just above the canyon. This year-round hostel makes an ideal home base when partaking in the many activities offered in this area including hiking, cycling and cross-country skiing. The nearby Skyline Trail offers one of Jasper National Park's most scenic hikes. This wilderness hostel offers a guest kitchen, a common room and 12-bed mixed dorm accommodation.

Overlooking the picturesque Athabasca Valley, this hostel is located 7 km (4.3 mi) southwest of the Jasper townsite, up Whistler's
Mountain Road
. Accommodation for 80 is available, plus two family/couple rooms. A fully-equipped self-service kitchen is available for guest use. Additional amenities include free parking, laundry facilities and Internet access.
